Brittle Nails Home Remedy Tips

Brittle Nails

Weak nails are very common. They can be caused by almost anything. Nails composed of keratin (protein) and minerals. They provide protection for the finger tips and should be strong, flexible, smooth and glossy.Nail matrix: You don’t see most of this, yet it may be the most important. It’s below the cuticle at the base of the nail. Cells in the matrix produce the fingernail. If the matrix gets damaged, your nail will be distorted or may even stop growing completely.

Home Remedies for brittle nails

Home remedy for brittle nails tip (1 –) Vegetable oil can help replace the moisture lost by frequent exposure to water. Just use a cotton swab to brush vegetable oil on each fingernail, both on top and on the underside. Then, massage the oil into your nails. Repeat this treatment three or four times every day. The oil will add much-need moisture to your brittle nails, and the massage will improve blood circulation in that area.

Try soaking nails in the same solution for five to ten minutes before trimming.
Home remedy for brittle nails tip (4 – )Taking zinc does actually help. It sounds crazy but pre-natal vitaminshave all the nutrients to help nails grow. Gelatin works but tastes disgusting! Sally Hansen has a cuticle cream (nail strengthening) that worked wonders for me. Apply it twice daily. Theres also a clear coat called “nail envy” that helps keep them from cracking. Lastly, stay away from acrylics, I know its tempting but don’t do it. I had them on for 10 yrs straight. Its been 2 now without and I still have ridges! My nails will never be the same, but with the above mentioned have made awesome improvements.
